Yup, we got it too at 4:37 am and the aftershock at 10:16 am. Kids had a lamp break on their floor and glass flew up into their beds. Hubby was up vacuuming at 4:45 am and I was trying to go back to sleep, to no avail. I missed the actual first quake, surreal moment when you're asleep and think you're dreaming. Second one, boss and I in her car at a stop light and you know those big bursts of wind that shake the car for a second? That's what we thought it was. I miss everything.

Did anyone else have any stories? What about you Ang? Any damage?

No damage but the doors rattled, glass shook, nothing fell and broke. te whole house shook. At first I thought high winds, but then the house began to shake and I knew it was a quake. It was kind of cool to experience in my opinion. The at 10:15 I was at my desk and felt my chair meving looked at the vulture and her monitor on her laptop was shaking and we were all like did you feel it.

Hey, I heard the Mississippi current reversed for three minutes afterwards, did you hear that? That's just crazy! It was basically felt from the northern part of Georgia to the southern part of Wisconsin! They said too that we had other 2.0+ aftershocks as well, but of course no one could feel those.

There was a total of 12 quakes/aftershocks since the first one. THe latest being noon today with a 2.8. I did not hear about the river reversing, but I was thinking about that yesterday. I remember hearing in school that they can do that with quakes. Yeah this is crazy. However i still find it really cool.

It would be cool if I didn't keep missing it all! Actually experienced it while I knew what I was experiencing.

I think I can tell when we have a quake. My head feels off. I can't explain what it feels like, but it just feels off some how. Like it is moving but I am not. I felt like this yesterday after the 2 quakes.

I don't know about that, but I know that afterwards, I felt weird.

It wasn't too bad Rae. Kinda weird but since it wasn't that severe it wasn't that frightening. But all the poor residents at the nursing home thought they were sinking into the ground with all the mine subsidence.
